On the 28th of March 2015, the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, launched the campaign #Uniite4Heritage at the University of Baghdad. It is a social media campaign to counter the propaganda of cultural cleansing and the destruction of cultural heritage, to support Iraqi youth and to mobilise young people across the world for its protection.
